5th November 2017 Me in the midst of my creative chaos. Alas, I don't look like this anymore.
CREATIVE CHAOS AND THE VIRTUES OF TIDING UP
I'm not sure if this is simply me, however when I'm tired, feeling burnt-out and lacking creative inspiration (usually because I've not been eating, I've been working intensely on something, my tshirt start up, my flower designs and I've not had a holiday in more than seventeen years) and I'm not receiving an iota of encouragement from anyone I start tidying up. I invariably have clothes strewn around, (jackets, yoga pants, tshirts)  unless I'm doing my minimalist thing then things invariably get stuffed into cupboards only for them to come tumbling out as soon as the cupboard is opened. Tidying up is a way of trying to maintain a semblance of control in my life, it does not require much thinking or brilliance or a perceptive, intuitive or analytical mind (the missing five pound note), it can be cathartic, meditative even, it's not exactly a break or a cruise, though it does help revive the creative and familial instincts and a sense of duty, responsibility, towards taking care of  myself and my creative endeavors. I wood invite others to do the same.
